Cant wait for it Neil
Could please do video on performance of 3d CAD for Ryzen7 4800H in laptops especially on a budget laptop like Asus tuf A17.
#Tickybox Right on Neil! Thank you for everything you do.
Congrats 🙂 looking foreward for to see it in a live version..Thanks..Keep up the good content
This looks amazing. I do so much good content and work. I really need to find a way to support You.
My thoughts:
If there is tests regarding assembly visualization how things are when move camera and rotating model. I would like to see them with point clouds and highlighting. For me it seems those cases are heaviest when rotating using 3D mouse and then regular mouse hovers over and highlights big models. I know I can toggle it but usually run it on. I know these are maybe too much to implement however still wanted to give my ideas. Moreover based on task manager then 3d point clouds and highlighting uses GPU, at least based on activity graph.
Well doine and good luck.
Just got my new PC up and running so this is perfectly timed mate, im getting back into youtube with a proper new setup so maybe we could do a colab video showing off your new invetor benchmark.
For the scoring system, you can use percentile rank to help show how good one score is vs the rest. So the higher the percentile the better the score.
Logscale for scoring? Clearling linear isn't future proof…., log scale for some specific base..(mores law base?) would keep processor development jumps from turning "10s" that used to be the best to the worst so quickly…Regardles, looking forward to the new benchmark!
Neil – What a cracking job you have done there. The benchmarking tool is looking wicked and is beyond what I would have expected – the fact you are looking to expand could mean the beginnings of the TFI Benchmarking empire…
I'm absolutely hyped for the new hardware thread as it's one aspect of the computer and Inventor I find interesting – my niche I suppose.
A couple of suggestions:
Are you going to limit the number of computers that one could upload to the leaderboard – that could be a paid-for addin
As for preventing the exact same computer from populating the leaderboard have, have you looked at Hardware ids for certain components since they are only for identifying the hardware compared to the IP address which could cause issues since people having your public-facing IP isn't great.
A suggestion for the commercial version would be a local leaderboard so only see computers that the account has benchmarked.
Maybe a cfd/heat transfer test for things like liquid sodium-cooled fast steam reactors.
Any chance we might be able to get a design methodology or process video as it relates to small machines? I have a senior project starting soon and im an electronics engineering major with some experience in inventor, mostly hobby stuff and small robots but o would like to improve my overall design process but not quite sure how.
Can't wait to give it a go.
Video liked…with extreme prejudice, as they say…just for all of FEA stuff, mate!!!
But, seriously, can't wait to take the suite out for a spin on my TR 1950x…
This would make my advice for our customers som much better. I very much appreciate your hard work on this. For personal use, it would be even more fun to build a monster watercooled system and bench it with som real production work, instead of those synthetic gaming benchmarks. THANKS!
I can't wait to see the benchmark 100+ page thread on the autodesk blow up when this is released 🤣
Add 3d scans to the test. We use 3D scans in all of our projects and they often is around 7Gb. Massive performance hit…
I was wondering what you thought about all these new Nvidia rtx 30 series cards..
Sounds great, the leader boards and scores would be a really good tool if done correctly. (i have faith it wil be)
Anything to do with Virtual Reality?
Tremendous achievement! Keep up the phenomenal work/excellent pursuits.
Congrats!
